It is time for Ajith fans to rejoice as the trailer of his upcoming movie Valmai was released on 30th December at 6:30 pm.
The much-awaited film, which is a collaboration between director H Vinoth and Ajith after their previous hit Nerkonda Paarvai (Tamil remake of Pink), is being bankrolled by Boney Kapoor.
It will be Ajith’s second film with Vinoth and Boney Kapoor after the blockbuster movies.
The promotional posters and the trailer released by the makers has shown that Ajith plays a cop, who races high-speed bikes to fight crimes.
The makers have also revealed some snippets about the backstory of his character, which shows Ajith as an ideal son to his mother and a perfect family man.
What prompted him to take up such a risky job? The story behind that could be the emotional core of the movie.
Ajith’s love for racing has made him a popular person. He is not just an actor but also a champion in motorbike racing competitions and events.
Although he started his career as a car racer, Ajith competed in the Formula Asia BMW Championships and other international races from 2003 to 2010.
Valimai seems to be the perfect movie for Ajith to show his talent as a motorbike racer and do some stunts on the big screen.
The film’s shooting got delayed owing to the lockdown called by the government in December 2019.
But, the major delay occurred because of the restrictions on international travel during this time period as a result of an outbreak of Covid.
This made it difficult for the crew and director Vinoth to go to Russia in order to film the climax scene.
The movie is now scheduled to hit theaters on January 14th and will coincide with Pongal celebrations across India. Telugu actor Kartikeya Gummakonda is making an entry into Tamil industry with Valimai. He played the antagonist in this movie against Ajith kumar.
