The most widely recognized item of clothing at Walmart is the blue vest. It is worn by all sales associates and store managers.

Even though it may be a compulsory part of the dress code, all employees must still abide by other guidelines including:

    1. Any type of denim jeans can be worn (they cannot be ripped in any way).
    2. Solid colored shirts and patterned shirts can also be worn.
    3. Sneakers are permitted, but only by hourly associates and managers.
    4. Shorts may be worn in some departments or on special occasions.
    5. Any type of open-toed shoes are not allowed

    Walmart Sales Associate Dress Code

Walmart Sales Associates should always strive to present themselves professionally. This is because customers make their initial judgment on how well an associate treats them by the appearance of the employee.

The best way to ensure that you are representing your company in a positive light is through the use of proper business attire at all times, especially when handling any type of customer interaction.

The most important thing to remember is that the dress code at Walmart is designed for everyone’s safety and comfort, so you should always wear what it takes to be professional, clean cut, and neat in appearance when working with customers.

    Dress Code Recommendations

    • It is recommended that all associates dress in a way that is consistent with your store’s dress code policy.
    • For example, if the dress code at your Walmart defines business casual as jeans or khakis and collared shirts, then you should wear those items every day.
    • Make sure to keep any jewelry basic and modest-looking so it doesn’t become a distraction. If you have long hair, it is a good idea to keep it pulled back so that your face is visible and people can hear what you are saying when speaking with customers or other associates.
    • In general, always remember to dress well by wearing clean clothes in solid colors and avoiding bright prints or patterns.
    • Always be mindful of the company’s dress code policy, as it is for your safety and comfort. It also helps to keep customers coming back.

Conclusion: Walmart Sales Associate Dress Code

Walmart has a wide variety of departments and many associate roles. Each role is accounted for in its dress code policy, which helps employees know what they can wear at work.

Every store may have slightly different requirements when it comes to the Walmart Sales Associate Dress Code, but most require that you conduct yourself professionally and dress in a way that is appropriate for customers.

You can wear jeans (not torn), shirts, and sneakers. Open-toe shoes are not permitted on the store premises.

Being a Starbucks barista is not so hard but you need to be aware of all the duties in order to make your work as comfortable as possible. Making drinks, coffee, tea, and taking orders from customers is the main responsibility of a Starbucks barista. The hardest part of this job is – you should be able to handle a lot of people during peak hours.

A person who is looking forward to pursuing a career in this field has to know the fact that being a barista is not an easy job. That said, being a barista is not a hard job either. I’m just saying that there will be times where you get to handle a lot of things at a time which makes you think that it’s hectic.

To be honest, a Starbucks barista has to handle things like checking the cash register, making a specially customized coffee or tea, taking orders from a number of tables, and also keeping the shop neat & clean. I’m not saying that you need to handle them all right away but you just need to be prepared for all the hard things.

These responsibilities might not be hard but at times it becomes hectic as you might not get a few seconds to just sit. And moreover, you should keep calm & handle your stress levels during peak hours.

Most importantly, being a Starbucks barista, you should be calm & composed and treat all your co-workers respectfully in order to maintain a good working environment for yourself & the management. Just be yourself, take orders, make coffee & tea, be a cashier when asked, & be prepared for everything to make everything fall in place.

    What about Salary?

In the salary point of view, being a Starbucks barista is not so hard as you’ll be paid around $12 per hour. This hourly rate is better than what other coffee shops are paying to their baristas. According to a few surveys, the average salary of a barista working at Starbucks is $20,000 per annum.

If you just joined Starbucks Corporation as a barista, don’t worry about your wage as the company is planning to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour for all its employees by 2022. And already, half the staff of Starbucks is already being paid $15/hour in the United States.

    What about the working environment?

The working environment at Starbucks will be great but you need to be prepared for a sudden change in schedules & the management may ask you to work more hours than usual at times. As far as the employee reviews I have gone through, most Starbucks workers complained about the hectic work. So, it is very clear that it’s hard to be a Starbucks barista if you are the kind of person who wants some time to relax for at least a few hours in a day.
