The length of the train is 150 metres. The problem can be solved as follows - Formula: As the answers are given in metres, we need to first convert the speed of the train from km/hr to m/s. The formula to convert km/hr to m/s is, A km/hr = (A x 5/18) m/s Here, A = 60 km/hr. [adinserter block="7"] 60Read more

The length of the train is 150 metres. The problem can be solved as follows –

    Formula:

As the answers are given in metres, we need to first convert the speed of the train from km/hr to m/s. The formula to convert km/hr to m/s is,

    A km/hr = (A x 5/18) m/s

    Here, A = 60 km/hr.

    60 km/hr = [60 x 5/18] m/s

    ==> 50/3 m/s.

So, the train is traveling at a speed of 50/3 m/s.

We already know that distance = speed x time

The distance between the train and the pole = 50/3 x 9 = 150 metres. Here, distance can be considered as the length of the train.

Hence, the length of the train is 15 metres.

    The given inequality is x (x + 3) < 10 In order to solve the above inequality, we need to find the values of x. x (x + 3) = 10 ⇒ x2 + 3x = 10 ⇒ x2 + 3x – 10 = 0 ⇒ (x – 2)(x + 5) = 0 ⇒ x = 2 or x = -5 Therefore, the values of x satisfying the given inequality are 2 and -5.

    The given inequality is x (x + 3) < 10

In order to solve the above inequality, we need to find the values of x.

    x (x + 3) = 10

    ⇒ x2 + 3x = 10

    ⇒ x2 + 3x – 10 = 0

    ⇒ (x – 2)(x + 5) = 0

    ⇒ x = 2 or x = -5

Therefore, the values of x satisfying the given inequality are 2 and -5.

As you know swimming, it‘s best to jump into the water, to save the child. This is an obvious choice.

Here, we do not need to think about the option. There is no reason we should hesitate or worry in this situation.

It‘s a question of life and death, so it‘s best to react quickly. Saving a person‘s life is a natural human instinct.

It is also morally right and obliging as it will help in saving the child‘s future. If someone gets saved, we all get saved.

In order to save the drowning person, no matter what happens next, I would jump into the water immediately!

The best thing to do is to try to solve the questions as much as you know with a cool head.

Being cool–headed is necessary for proper and sound thinking. There‘s nothing to be gained by panicking or feeling desperate.

In fact, it is better to mark the questions that you don‘t know how to do and come back to them later.

You may want to ask your teacher for help if you have time left before the examination ends.

Otherwise, take a break from answering the questions and come back to them later.

You can take some time to look at your answers and check if you have made any mistakes.

If so, correct them immediately before going on with the next set of questions in the paper.

In case there is no time left for solving the questions, it may be better to leave them unanswered.

In case of a practical examination, you can try to do as much as you can and then leave the rest.

This will result in your getting more marks since not everything has to be done perfectly.
