If you are experiencing an unresponsive Kindle Fire, the best thing you can do to fix this issue is to perform a soft reset. This will not delete anything on your Kindle but, however, a hard reset erases all the data. So, you will have to take a backup of your files before doing a factory reset or hard reset. Let’s now discuss the steps involved in both types of resetting.

To Soft Reset your Kindle Fire:

Every model of Amazon Kindle Fire is different and so, the way we do a soft reset will vary. Follow these steps as per the model you own –

Kindle Fire HD and Kindle Fire HDX:

Press and hold the power button on your Kindle for about 15 seconds. With this, your device will turn off. After sometime, turn it back on and you are done with soft resetting it.

Kindle Fire HD8 and Kindle Fire HD10:

Press & hold the power button along with the Volume Down button simultaneously for up to 15 seconds. With this, your Kindle Fire will switch off. Turn on your device after a few seconds or minutes.

    To perform a hard reset:

Before doing a factory reset, you are always recommended to backup your Kindle Fire tablet to an external drive or memory card so that you won’t end up losing any of your precious data. A hard reset or factory reset will delete everything on your Kindle.

    Hard reset 1st & 2nd generation models:

    1. Launch the Settings gear
    2. Select More…
    3. Choose Device
    4. Tap Reset to factory defaults
    5. Tap Erase everything

Hard reset 3rd to 7th generation models:

    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to Device Options
    3. Tap on Reset to factory defaults
    4. Tap on the Reset option

A factory reset can also be done using your Kindle Fire’s buttons. In order to do so, turn your Kindle off >> press & hold both power & volume down buttons simultaneously >> Use the volume buttons to scroll down to Wipe data/factory reset >> Press the Power button to select >> Go to Yes – delete all user data >> Press the power button.

This is how we can easily & quickly do a soft reset or a hard reset on your Amazon Kindle Fire tablet. I hope this answer helped 🙂

Being one of the cleanest rivers in India, the Umngot river in the state of Meghalaya attracts thousands of visitors every year. It’s really worth visiting this tourist destination and so, I think you have made a great choice of thinking about going on a trip to this spot. Also popularly known as Dawki river, this beautiful & crystal clear river is located in the Dawki town of the West Jaintia Hills district in Meghalaya, India.

Things to do at Umngot river:

    1. Boat Ride: The first and the best thing to do in Dawki is to visit the Umngot river and then, go on a boat ride to view all its serene beauty. The lush greenery all along the river will make you go awe for sure.
    2. India – Bangladesh Border: It’s not always easy to go near any international border. But, a visit to the Dawki river makes it really easy for you to have a look at the Friendly gate that separates India from Bangladesh. So, when you visit the Umngot river, make sure to visit the India-Bangladesh Friendship Gate.
    3. Krang Suri Falls: This is another major tourist attraction that you must definitely visit after enjoying the beauty of the Umngot river. Krang Suri Falls is nearly 33 km away from the Dawki river and so, it will take around 1 hour for you to reach there via car or bike.
    4. Cherrapunji: Also known as Sohra, Cherrapunjee is a high-altitude town in the northeast Indian state of Meghalaya. It’s known for its living root bridges, made from rubber trees. It takes about 3 hours for you to reach this place from the Umngot river in Dawki.

These are some of the best things to do near the Umngot river in Dawki. I hope you’ll include these things in your itinerary.

    Hi Chandan,

Travel Agents are people who serve as mediators between the customers and the travel company. For example, if you want to visit Goa for an occasion, you can contact a reputed travel agent who has good experience in organizing trips. Then, that travel agent will take care of all the important things like booking your tickets, scheduling your trip, booking hotel rooms, etc on your behalf. For this, you will have to pay for the travel agent.

Travel agents make money from the tour companies for getting the customers. This is generally known as affiliate marketing.

Venus flytraps are carnivorous plants that feed on insects which get trapped in their unique leaf like structures.

When you put your finger in these traps, the plant will think of it as some insect and uses its energy to take hold of your finger.

However, these traps cannot harm your finger nor will they have any affect on your body. The only thing that happens is – the flytrap plant will end up losing its energy. Gaining their energy back is really hard for them. So, do not play with those plants just for fun.

    The answer is 1/8.

    Explanation:

As we already know, the H.C.F (Highest Common Factor) is required in order to find the simplest form of a fraction.

From the given data, the fraction is 125/1000.

    ==> The HCF of 125 and 1000 is 125

Now, divide the numerator and denominator with the derived HCF.

    ==> 125/125 divided by 1000/125

==> It will give us 1/8

Hence, 125 over 1000 in simplest form is 1/8.

The Centre of Gravity can be defined as a point on an object where its whole weight is focused on. In simple words, the gravitational pull is said to act at the same exact point of that object. Whereas, a Centroid is a point which is considered to be the geometrical center of an object.

Difference between the Centre of Gravity and Centroid

Difference 1: Center of Gravity is represented by g whereas the Centroid is denoted by c.

Difference 2: The Center of Gravity equals the average of all the points in a uniform gravitational field whereas the Centroid is a point with no moment of area in a plane area.

Difference 3: Center of Gravity of an object can be derived by finding out the intersection of all the gravitational lines. On the other hand, a Centroid can be derived by finding out the average position of all the geometrical points of an object.

Difference 4: The Center of Gravity can be calculated by taking the sum of all the moments of an object divided by that object’s weight. On the other hand, there are several methods to determine the centroid of an object. For example, the centroid of a triangle can be determined by finding out the point of intersection of all the three medians.

The newer models of the Acura MDX have no transmission problems. In the past, MDX owners who bought the old models used to complain about the transmission. People had complained that they experienced shuddering as they ride the car at about 50 mph. In recent years, Acura has improved a lot and all its on-going models have no such transmission issues.

If you own an Acura MDX and experiencing any such problem, it’s better to get a quick check-up of your car at the nearest service center. The repair cost will depend on whether a change in the transmission is required or not and also the area of service.
