If the check wasn’t signed in your name then, you will not be able to deposit the amount in your bank account. So, it’s not possible to deposit someone else’s check into your account.

    The owner of the check who has handed over it to you has to write your name beside the “Pay to” section of the check and then sign it. Or else, you can’t deposit that check into your bank account. Some banks may even ask for the sign of the owner on the backside of the cheque sometimes.
